Hounds at Bay & Heavy is the Head – 2 Bücher vorbestellbar

Nachdem ich die letzten paar Tage (und es waren wirklich nur ein paar Tage) viel zu tun hatte und die Hitze mich am Abend sehr erschöpft gemacht hat, gibt es nun gleich zwei vorbestellbare Bücher. Nämlich Band 4 und Band 5 der Fortunes of War Reihe: Hounds at Bay & Heavy is the Head.

Wer das entsprechende Level beim Mercenaries Kickstarter unterstützt hat, bekommt beide Bücher dort bereits in digitaler Form und kann sie lesen. Für alle anderen geht es am 27. September und am 11. Oktober mit der Reihe weiter. Und eine kleine Erinnerung: Die einzelnen Bücher haben nichts miteinander zu tun, sie drehen sich nur alle fünf um verschiedene Söldnereinheiten.

Heavy is the Head dreht sich dabei um die Crown Crusaders, einer Reihe von Clan Invasion Kickstarter Charakteren über die Phil gestolpert ist, als er für mich für ein Buch nach Charakteren gesucht hat. Sie haben für mein Buch nicht gepasst, aber bei ihm hat sich eine Idee entwickelt und die liest sich toll. Mal schauen, wann mein Buch erscheint, für das Phil ursprünglich für mich nach Charakteren gesucht hat.

Heavy is the Head (Fortunes of War 5) (3148 – 3152)

DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR

Major Michael Crown, leader of the Crown Crusaders mercenary battalion, has finally hit the big time: not only are the Crusaders fighting in the campaign to liberate the capital of the Federated Suns’ Capellan March, they are under the command of the First Prince himself, Julian Davion. But when battle plans against the Capellan Confederation go awry and the specter of blame falls on the Crusaders, Michael must make a desperate deal to prove his loyalty to the Federated Suns and save his unit from extinction.

That deal leads to an unusual post in the distant Davion Outback, where true friends are hard to come by and devious enemies could be masquerading in plain sight.
