Nichtverfügbarkeit der E-Books

Ich habe es selbst noch nicht mal bemerkt gehabt, aber einige von euch haben es vielleicht bemerkt: Die Battletech E-Books, die CGL vor einiger Zeit in großen Mengen veröffentlicht hat, sind nicht mehr im Handel erhältlich. Woran genau das liegt ist unklar, aber Randall Bills hat eine grobe Erklärung dazu abgegeben:

No, Catalyst has not lost the right to publish BattleTeh or Shadowrun fiction(print or epub). Our licensor has requested that we temporarily take down the files while they investigate an issue regarding works of fiction contracted by previous companies. We fully expect to return these classic works to the online venues soon, and are also working to bring out new collections and brand new short fiction as well. Stay tuned.

Diese Erklärung ist vom Januar (und war mir – und wohl auch vielen Anderen) bisher entgangen und wurde heute im Forum auf Battletech.com nochmal zitiert. Da sich seitdem nichts mehr getan hat, scheint sie noch immer gültig zu sein.
