Eine neue Version von MegaMek ist erschienen. Und bevor sich einige von euch Fragen „Was zur Hölle ist MegaMek?“, gibt es von mir von jetzt an immer eine kleine Einleitung dazu.

Was ist MegaMek?

MegaMek ist eine Computerversion von Battletech, die die Regeln des Tabletops abbildet und auf der ihr Battletech wie an der Platte spielen könnt, aber halt online gegen andere Menschen oder lokal gegen den Computer.

Es werden nahezu alle offiziell existierenden Einheiten mitgeliefert und natürlich auch Maps. MegaMek übernimmt für euch das Einhalten der Regeln und das Ausrechnen der Trefferwürfe — und natürlich auch das Würfeln selbst.

Mit MegaMekLab kommt auch ein Einheitendesigner der Record Sheets drucken kann. Zusätzlich stellt MekHQ ein Kampagnentool dar, mit dem ihr umfangreiche Kampagnen im Battletech-Universum spielen könnt. Hier werden mehrere offizielle Regelsätze aus den letzten fast 40 Jahren unterstützt.

Alles was ihr dafür braucht, ist Java auf eurem Computer.
